NNL East travel planning

If all goes according to plan, I'll be going to Wayne in a couple of weeks.

My itinerary is to stay over with a friend who lives near New Paltz, N.Y. Friday night, and then head down as it's only about an hour and a half south from where she is.

I'll be heading straight down the Thruway. Are there any tolls I need to be aware of? As I'm traveling on a very tight budget, I just need to make sure I plan ahead.

My return trip will probably be either 287->684->84->all my back roads home, or 87->84->return home. I know I'll have the $3.00 toll at the Tappen Zee, but are there any others I need to know of between Wayne and there?

One thing I know is if you go to Wayne in a couple weeks it won't matter how many tolls there are cause your going to miss the NNL East. Its in 5 days!

I believe the toll on the Tappan Zee is $6.00, but it is charged going one way only, in your case going back home. The entrance fee for the show is $15.00 but there is no limit to how many cars you can bring in for that amount. You will need about a kazillion dollars for the vendors that will be there however, because if you're like me and most other modelers you'll want to buy everything at the show. Great stuff.
