Wheels Posted April 10, 2010 Posted April 10, 2010 (edited) I started with the Revell Diecast Tomb Raider Jeep. I scratchbuilt a new rollcage. Instead of putting the rear seat in I added plastruct diamond tread and covered it with BMF. I added a stokes basket, surfboard, flippers & gear bags. I also added a whip antenna, radio and emergency lights on the hood. I stripped the chrome off the wheels and painted them with Tamiya Silver. Decals came from Lindberg Baywatch Toyota P/U kit. Railfreak78 Posted April 10, 2010 Posted April 10, 2010 While the metal thing is not my cup of tea this is a really great way to capture the current look at the beach. Nice idea and nice work.

Dragline Posted April 10, 2010 Posted April 10, 2010 I think it's tight... After all, the cars we replicate ARE metal..... Metal is a good thing. I should know. I've been a METAL guitarist all my life. No ill affects as of yet. Bob

Blake Rogers Posted April 11, 2010 Posted April 11, 2010 ya dave i think your right those rims look great at first i that was a intake then i read the hole thing after and found out it was a light great work bud
RodneyBad Posted April 17, 2010 Posted April 17, 2010 Being that the whole kit is under scale (1/28) The best thing from it is the tires. The wheels look a lot better painted too. You did a great job converting it to a Lifeguard jeep. It looks alot better... Nice job.
