Junkman Posted April 12, 2010 Posted April 12, 2010 And all of the cars on the list -- -- are made by Detroit's Big Three" So they have never heard of Fiat, Renualt, Triumph, Yugo, Simca, Mitsubishi, Hyundai,(dont defend them,I own one) should I go on ? I'd take ANYTHING the big three have built over any of this "stuff'. You might be hard pressed to drive a 2010 Triumph, Yugo, or Simca. Are Fiats and Renaults still (or rather, again) sold in the US?
Jordan White Posted April 12, 2010 Posted April 12, 2010 my only real complaint about the Jeep was the noise from the soft top on long drives and i think it could have been a bit more powerful Dave That's why I have a loud radio.
Modelmartin Posted April 13, 2010 Posted April 13, 2010 Are Fiats and Renaults still (or rather, again) sold in the US? Since Fiat now controls Chrysler I think you can say that there are a lot of Fiats on the roads here now!
Harry P. Posted April 13, 2010 Posted April 13, 2010 The article says "Worst Made" cars... but the "worst" cars are rated poorly not because they're not made well, but because of low safety scores and low value ratings (value being highly subjective and not really quantifiable). These days, pretty much all cars are made well... with advanced technology and robotics, there really are very few, if any, cars that are not made well. Sort of a confusing article.
Modelmartin Posted April 13, 2010 Posted April 13, 2010 Sort of a confusing article. Especially so when the writer(s) are not knowledgable car people. Sort of like if I started writing articles about quantum physics. The articles are even worse if they don't like cars - sort of like me writing about right wing politicians! I don't even read articles in car magazines about Bugattis(the old ones) anymore. I have so much more knowledge about them than the typical automotive writer. They end up repeating old disproven "legends" about Ettore and his cars. It's funny that the worst Bugatti book ever written was by his daughter!!
