Here is my Jarius build Fairlane! It's a 1963 and this kit is a bit hard to find but thanks to a club member I was able to pick up this glue bomb. It's in great shape and I will start this soon. here is the preview. DSC02398.jpgDSC02396.jpgDSC02395.jpgDSC02402.jpgDSC02403.jpgDSC02404.jpgFairlane1.jpg

May I suggest a kitbash with the Revell Thunderbolt? That'll give you a nice, beefy, detailed chassis, engine compartment and 427 cubes of big- block power.

Thanks for the idea Harold and not a bad idea at all. I don't want to ruin this frame and I do want more detail even though its going to be in the weeds. I've seen a newer 2 in 1 kit and I'd like to have extra parts and check out the drag set up for other builds.

Railfreak, I'm not trying to put you down or anything like that, just asking a question, but why didn't you just start with Revell's 1964 Fairlane they just reissued?? It, I think, is probably the 2 in 1 kit you referred to, and it is based on the Thunderbolt Harold suggested. If you would want pics of it, send me a PM and I'll be more than happy to show you what's in the kit. Then you could just restore the 63 you got, I'd bet it's got to be rare!

I would use the '63 chassis. You have great underhood details and that metal axle chassis will be much easier to get the stance you desire.

i'd just leave that '63 alone and use the '64 Thunderbolt to build. i'd even swap you a Thunderbolt kit for that '63 if it's still exactly like it is in the pictures.

:lol::lol::lol:

I would not swap that '63 for TEN Thunderbolt kits!
