1320wayne Posted April 20, 2010 Posted April 20, 2010 (edited) Excellent pics. Dave. Everytime I see pictures from one of the shows up there it makes me miss being there. This was always a great show to attend. This will sound strange coming from me but it was cool to see all of those older antique/classic builds on the table that you don't see all that often. By the way, was that a scratchbuilt Sharpie or was it straight out of the box, LOL? Edited April 20, 2010 by 1320wayne
Fletch Posted April 21, 2010 Author Posted April 21, 2010 Excellent pics. 95% of the classic builds were from Stan Ulrich, and the majority of those were from wood and paper kits from the late '40s early '50s. Unless you knew what they were you would have sworn that they were plastic or metal. Incredible workmanship as always from Stan. As for the Sharpie, that's what happens when you show someone how well the Macro lens works and forget to delete it then upload the entire show when you should be sleeping. You never know what may get uploaded.
Exotics_Builder Posted April 21, 2010 Posted April 21, 2010 Thanks Dave, I sure miss going to that show and others out there. Gerry
Fletch Posted April 22, 2010 Author Posted April 22, 2010 (edited) Thanks Dave, I sure miss going to that show and others out there. Gerry Believe me Gerry, everyone always asks who has heard from you. You are missed here in the PNW. We'll be off to Puyallup in less then 10 day, where does the time go? We've been through a stretch of a show/contest every 2 weeks for the past 6 weeks, I think we're all ready for a break. lol Dave Edited April 22, 2010 by Fletch
Exotics_Builder Posted April 22, 2010 Posted April 22, 2010 You’re right about 10 days. Time does fly. Well, my mother-in-law passed away in early January, so now it is just a matter of turning in my paperwork to early out and figure out timing of relocating. We still have her property to resolve, and have until July to do it. We are planning on making a recon trip back in June, dates to be locked in the few weeks. We have in mind either Vancouver, WA or Snohomish county, likely Edmonds or Mukilteo area. If we are in the vicinity when the SABA meeting is held, I’d like to stop by and say hello. The big question now is the housing market and how much of a loss will we get on the home we’re in now. I’ll talk to you soon.
