Is this what yur talking about B.? Wouldn't it have been easier to take some very small plastic strips, soften them with liquid glue (ala Mark Gustavson's method for attaching window drip rails to 50s era cars) and then glue them to yur model's fenders?

A suggestion for yu B. why don't yu go to www.photobucket.com and set up a "FREE" account to post yur pics to. Or yu could go to tha paid photo website that a lot of these guys use, www.fotki.com and do tha same. I use photobucket 'cause I'm so tight I squeek when I walk.

Well.........If I needed to add contours to bodywork that's missing, I might do it the same way as B did.

While you can add plastic to give you some definition to what you need to build up, putty might still be needed to smooth and "feather edge" out the contour.

Simply sanding and blending across the strips would leave a trough.............while it may not be noticeable in primer, it'll probably show up during color coats.

BTW, what type of putty are you using?

Everyone's got their favorites.................Mine's Dynatron Putty-Cote for large areas.............Tamiya Putty for the small stuff.

Some reason I keep calling it a 1/16 but you probably knew that,...i'm still trying to figure it out,..I choose MMD putty because the glue and plastic I have not mastered and putty is easy to coutour,..as i typed this it is in the spray booth drying an I hope will be the 1 of the last coats of primer, this is the 2nd, It looks like I will be taken a hard look at painting models with a Airbrush ,...just had a nozzle stick on a can but I realized what had happen and was able to keep in control,....I will turn my attention to the 1/12 '37 springer HD that will be shot the same color,....I'm open to all suguestions on this build ,I posted some pics of the car ,the interior will be Buckskin I'm trying to fing a pair of NICE wire wheels and tires for it,...
