These were pulled from my display cases and lightly dusted today. They were properly cleaned about 10 months ago, during my semi annual cleaning of all the models on display... I have decades of builds on display in my showroom.

Cougar II Built when I was 14. Engines had to wired, with yellow wire!

Looks great Mark! At 14, I wouldn't even look at a model let alone build one!

I wish I still had some of the models I built when I was 17................they were pretty sad glue bombs for sure!

You had more modeling skills back then than many adults have!

BTW... why 3 separate posts? You could have put these all together in one thread...

I tried to make it one post, had it written that way. (Explains the header on each...) But I could only get six of the pictures to show in preview at a time. I thought I had too many photo links, so I posted this way.

Thanks guys, I have even more that are older.

I never blew up my models. But I did do a smokey burnout over a Charlie's Angel van. It exploded, good times, good times...

And I still have that car I did it with... Hmm,... it makes about 3 times the HP now, wonder what it could do today to an old model...?

From the Dunlop tires on that build I'm guessing it's from the Testors "Famous Fords" series of IMC reissues from the mid 70's, & I can say it is very buildable. I built that exact reissue when I was 14/15, along with the reissues of the GT-40, MK II, MK IV, & 48 Ford sedan all from that same reissue series. Some of the last models I built in my first modeling phase, before girls & real cars took over!!! ;)

I've built another reissue from Lindberg in the 90's, & have 4 or 5 more of those 90's reissues in my stash. No, they are not for sale or trade!!

Nice work Mark!!!

Yes, you are correct! In the right (wrong?) light the tires are blueish. Built it when it was first released. I always meant to build another, must have 3 IMCs and 1 or 2 Lindbergs in my stash...

i had a love/hate relationship with the "Famous Fords" series.... they sure did look good on the box. my skill level at 14 was somewhat.... cro-magnon? shoot, i hadn't been PAINTING them for long at 14.
