plasticnewbie
Working on a 34 Ford. This is my first time of trying to get old worn out and rusted look. Let me know what you think and please feel free to give me any ideas or suggestions. Thank you and have a great day. I will be using flat paint on the body to make it look like the paint is faded out. And will be trying to add the dust or dirt affect on the body also. Will submit completed picture as soon as its done.
MikeeD
Looks to me like you're off to a good start...it has a good look...be sure to post as you go along, I want to see this one. I've always liked the low budget hot rods and the rat rods... How did you do the effect you have so far?
plasticnewbie
For the rims I sprayed them with grey primer when dry I went back with Model Master Acryl 4675 Rust paint put a small amount of paint in dots then back with a dry brush and went over the whole area. For the frame I mixed up some flat colors that I have "black, copper, burgandy and orange". I paitned and let it dry for a day. I then mixed some flat black, flat grey and some aluminum put is on light and followed it up with some rust the same way as the rims. I am working on the body tonight and will put some pictures up tomorrow.
