Junkman Posted May 21, 2010 Posted May 21, 2010 I just couldn't keep my hands off ths sweet thing: I will use real wood where wood is visible, since only real wood looks like real wood when I try to replicate it. Hence, I first cut out the floor: I also want to convert it to right hand drive. Therefore, the Carbide generator must be on the right hand side. So the running boards must swap sides: This bracket is also on teh wrong side: Off with it: I also want to make the bulkhead from real wood. This is what is supplied with the kit: Cut, cut, cut: Three pieces become eight pieces:
Junkman Posted May 21, 2010 Author Posted May 21, 2010 Draw: Cut: Check: Now, the remaining piece must be skimmed by the amount of the thickness of the wood: And everything lines up:
Sam Cates Posted December 2, 2011 Posted December 2, 2011 That's it? What ever happened to this thing? I would like to know how it turned out if it got done, I just bought this kit and wasn't sure how it actually looked when completed...
imatt88 Posted December 30, 2011 Posted December 30, 2011 Chris, How did the build go? I've been thinking about picking one of those up, but the "Lindberg" thing kind of scares me away. Cheers, Ian
Harry P. Posted December 30, 2011 Posted December 30, 2011 What a coincidence! I'm working on the same exact kit, and also made the firewall/dash out of real wood, and also will me making the floorboards out of real wood, exactly as Christian is doing. Ian, the kit is simplified, but a great starting point. Adding extra detail is easy, and should make for a good looking final product.
