Mr Civic,

It's a little ways up the road, but our club,

RAMS, meets in west Chesterfield County (Midlothian)

twice a month.

The 1st and 3rd Thursdays of each month.

We always have a pretty good time.

We meet at the Martin's Store in the village of Midlothian

at 6:00pm, and hang out till everyone is ready to roll.

Like I said it's a bit of a drive but we do have FUN.

Another slightly long haul is over in Virginia Beach area (I was stationed there and have been out to Roanoke twice.......the 'Star City' of the Blue Ridge!). TAMS (Tidewater Automotive Modelers Society) meets at the HobbyTown USA or the Library in Virginia Beach (where is Jerry Quick when I need him?!). Then again, I am going on a 10 year old memory.

i was at the mda show for the first time this year and i think dennis and the guys done a great job. registration went smooth, table space was great and the judging was very accurate. you must be new to contests or base the outcome on your opinion of what should have won. a few classes had some really nice builds but some of them had injector pin marks, seam lines and the list goes on. the judges have to base thier decisions on many different things to pick a winner, not just paint, subject matter or who built it. as far as the same people winning......this was my first time to this show and i won my class and best in show. just remember that the judges have a tough job picking the winners and sometimes they may make a few mistakes. this is just the human element and we all know that it's not perfect.
