  1. James, Looks Awesome. We need to see it up close. You ever coming back to a RAMs Meeting? We are thinking about hitting Hardee's in Chester on Friday night. You in? You're off nights now, Right?? Hope to hear from you . Rick
  2. The 3 B &N's near me have not gotten in any yet. When asked if they will be getting it in the response has been to stare at an apparent 3rd eyeball on my forehead and grunt "Idunno" The 2 Hobbytowns in town don't carry it, and have little interest in anything that isn't RC related. Thankfully my favorite little LHS (Chesterfield Hobby) always gets in lots of copies and gives me a reason to stop in frequently. Rick in Richmond
  3. Jerry, We'll be there with bells on! LOL Rick in Richmond
  4. Allen, It looks like that front fender might make it a '38 or '39, it's hard to tell from the photo. Are you coming to the RAMS meeting Thursday night at Hobbytown? If you are bring the photo, Gene will be able to tell you what it is for sure, being that he has a real '39 standard sedan and all. Rick in Richmond
  5. James, You bringin' that to the meeting Thursday night at Hobbytown? I can't wait to see it up close. Rick in Richmond
  6. James, You bringin this to the club meeting on Thursday?? Can't wait to see it up close. I also will bring you the mirror bucket to dig thru, so you can find a pair you like. Rick in Richmond
  7. James, It's the "Leprechaun". Rick in Richmond
  8. Erik, AMT also did the same thing the next year with the Triumph Bonneville motorcycle. It was available as pieces in the annual car kits or as a whole bonus in the '63 Chevy Pickup kit. Rick in Richmond
  9. Erik, Not sure which kits had the pieces in which box, but I do know the entire kart was available in the '62 Ford Pickup kit . Rick in Richmond
  10. Joel, Definitely come to Richmond and see us at the IPMS show. Joker above and myself are 2 members of RAMS. Richmond Automotive Modelers Society. We are going to have a kickin club display there on Saturday. There will be good vendors and lots to do. One vendor is selling off a chunk of a lifelong collectors models, all priced very reasonably. Show is at the Richmond International Raceway. Rick in Richmond
  11. James that thing is looking better all the time. You will have to bring it over with you on Saturday for our next RAMS meeting/ Barrett jackson/ chilli fest. Rick in Richmond
  12. Probably should have read the link before posting above. DOH.....!!! Rick in Richmond
  13. Those are TETHER CARS I think. They used to race them in a circle on a hand line. They used little gasoline engines like Cox. They are really cool. Rick in Richmond
  14. From all of us in R.A.M.S. Rick in Richmond Richmond Automotive Modellers Society
  15. Tye, Like the post above says, the body is available from one of your fellow countrymen. The chassis in the re-issued Infini"t" would work. The only thing not correct from the T kit is the headers. You might have to scratch those up yourself. Rick in Richmond
  16. James, I can't wait to see what you do with those dirt bikes you got from me the other day. Some sort of bobber or cafe creation....mmmm? Rick in Richmond
  17. James, That turned out KILLER!! I can't wait to see what you do with the dirt bikes you got from me. Rick in Richmond
  18. James, Have you done anything yet with the other bikes? or the Dragula? I will have to miss this upcoming club meeting due to work. Rick in Richmond
  19. James, I'm glad you had fun with it. It had been sitting in my someday pile for a long time. You really did a great job on it. Definitely bring it to our next meeting. If i remember correctly, it came out of the Monogram Baja Beast kit. The other kit I gave you came from the AMT Blazer Monster Truck or maybe The Dodge, same minibike in both kits. It looks SUPER!! Rick in Richmond
  20. Virgil, The #1 reason, I like to attend shows, is to catch up with friends I've made through the years attending the shows. #2, is to sell off some of my excess kits. Several years ago I realized I had more kits than I could build in 3 lifetimes. So I began taking the ones I knew i would never get to with me to shows. I sell them in order to buy new ones, kind of a model cars circle of life thing. #3 is to show off any current builds I may have. I prefer the non-competitive NNL format shows but I attend any kind. #4 is a chance for our model club ( RAMS ) to do things as a group. #5 is to promote the hobby with the kids, My 2 youngest ( 12 and 16 yoa) come with me and love the times we have at the shows. I have 2 grandsons that are almost ready to attend their first show. Rick in Richmond
  21. A few of us from R.A.M.S. will be there. I'll be selling a few kits. Look forward to seeing everyone. This is always a really nice show. Jerry and the crew from T.A.M.S. do a great job. Rick in Richmond
  22. George, Thanks for the pics from the meeting! It was really good to see everyone again since my illness. Allens Mustangs were looking very nice as was your 37 P/U street rod. We'll see everyone in a couple of weeks. Rick
  23. Hey George, GREAT pics!! Thanks for putting my Allison Thunderland up in the preview. I still can't believe my jeep won something in the drag category. Again, thanks for the pics. Rick in Richmond
  24. Hey George, Thanks for the pics!! Sorry you missed going with us this past Saturday. RAMS members brought home 8 awards, Gene-4 Me-3 and Jordan-1. We may meet again this thursday if anyone wants to. Rick in Richmond
