route66modeler Posted May 27, 2010 Posted May 27, 2010 Hi, I have a old amt 65 Gto cov't promo and wanted to try and find a ball park value. Are there any recent value guides in print. All I seem to find ones from 8-10 year ago. Thanks,Steve
Harry P. Posted May 27, 2010 Posted May 27, 2010 The problem with every "value guide" is that it's out of date immediately after it comes out. "Values" (or in other words, the price buyers are willing to pay) fluctuate constantly. No printed "value guide" can be used as an accurate guide because prices are constantly changing. The best way to see what any particular collectible is worth is to check ebay. You'll get an idea of what the item in question is currently going for. Current ebay prices are about as accurate a "value guide" as you'll find.
iBorg Posted May 27, 2010 Posted May 27, 2010 (edited) To quote one sage, "What something is worth is what a willing seller sells an item to a willing buyer." I've seen too many things go for way more money than I think an item is worth as well as seen too many things not bring what I thought it should to trust any printed guide.
