Started this almost 2 years ago , as usual , lost the thought. Time to get it done....

Hey Ken, not nitpicking, just info from my 'old strip tha "chrome" offn tha 50s era stock car racer days.' Tha holes in tha fenders were actually oval shaped, because tha hold-on clips were twist-in and spring loaded (curvature of tha clips).

There weren't a lot of holes either, as tha trim was usually a very lite tin-like metal or even on some a formed aluminum (heat-treated of course in both cases).

On yur Plymouth's front fender yu would have two rows of holes, staggered. Of course, according to tha race track's rules, ifn yu took tha chrome off...yu had to fill tha holes. So we would just drill and use #10 x 1 1/2" sheet metal screws to hold tha chrome on.

I hated filling holes with brazing solder, inherently lazy I guess.
