ABC Auto Industry Posted August 12, 2010 Posted August 12, 2010 A 1944 Pete? Funny, I didn't think they restarted Pete production until 1945-46 due to World War II.
Scott S Posted August 14, 2010 Author Posted August 14, 2010 A 1944 Pete? Funny, I didn't think they restarted Pete production until 1945-46 due to World War II. Only ones you could get were for agri use..ie this being a logging truck. it is a fully documented 1944 out of montana and said to be the oldest known pete in the east.(thats come forth) being most were logging trucks of sort any left appear to be out west. i passed up another 44 that someone @ the old pocono pete was staring to restore and for some reason stopped, ran across it on ebay a couple years age only prob. was most of the good stuff was missing..
Old Albion Posted August 18, 2010 Posted August 18, 2010 Scott, Many Thanks for sharing your collection of great trucks with us. They are superb. I especially like the 65 Pete is it a 351 or a 281? That paint scheme looks great and really suits the trucks. My other favourite is the 352. Dave
