Dragline Posted June 28, 2010 Posted June 28, 2010 Total 70's Bling John. The colors POP! Executed with your usual panache. Bob
Marlowe Posted June 29, 2010 Posted June 29, 2010 Very well done! I particularly like the gradation paint job. I have a project I'm planning that is going to require a completely scratch built tube chassis. I'm still trying to figure out what is the best way to do it. I'm thinking of using solder in different thickness diameters.
Dragline Posted June 29, 2010 Posted June 29, 2010 Marlowe, solder will of course work but I think Plastruct is the answer for a tube chassis. If you have a decent HS near you they should have a rack. Solder will end up weighing a ton. Bob

It looks like it might be my solution.
Jon Cole Posted June 30, 2010 Posted June 30, 2010 John, Another fantastic home run build! Nice model Vette F/C! But I have noticed a pattern with your pics.... rarely a photo of the front! This time you did catch the car's nose, with the body up. Yet, many pics from rear corner, or the side. We hope to see the front of these builds too!

Harry P. Posted June 30, 2010 Posted June 30, 2010 VERY cool, as usual, John. Don't think I've ever seen a F/C with a white chassis before. And congrats on the portfolio in the new issue of the "other" mag! Dang! They beat me to the punch. I actually have a feature on John already in the can... just waiting for the room to squeeze it into an upcoming issue. I'll have to check out what "they" did and out-do them. Thanks for your patience John... the wait will be worth it!
bigmikevee Posted June 30, 2010 Posted June 30, 2010 Hi John, Man....too cool, glad to finally know you can do front bumpers and headlights too! HAHA Great job on the Mako, a model I build a long....long....long time ago that I wished I had saved, love looking at your builds, passion and committment show through every time. Thanks for posting. Mike
