Okay here it is. Does not hold a candle to the ones I have seen on here but it is my first attempt at a "salt" paint job. The kit is a Mongram 36 Ford from the early iron series. The motor came from the parts box and the wheels and tires came from the Revell 30 Ford woody (Good Guys) kit. I also tried to make the top look more realistic by covering it with tissue paper soaked in a white glue/water mix before I painted it. Did not come out quite like I had envisioned it but did not feel it looked bad either. I learned alot on this build and will try this "salt" trick again. On a side note I would have never thought to try this if it wasn't for this forum and the people here. Living in Oklahoma this is as close to a model club I can get. My thanks to Gregg and everyone here who keeps this forum going.

That's nice! The rust is looking very good (and real), and those tires are nicely wheatered! Good job. :D

Thanks for all the comments. I am going to try my hand at this again. Harry- Yep sure did followed the steps Cranky put on here;his builds on the forum are some of my favorites.

You must drive that in Minnesota in the winter. Send that over to Gonzo's for a repaint. Seriously it looks great, you can almost smell it.LOL
