samm1970
I have'nt been on much lately, the real world has gotten in the way, but I did manage to build this kit to get me back in the swing of things. I built this kit curbside from an old Monogram Snap-Tite kit.The box stated it was a 1982 Collectors edition kit.The kit was molded in the correct color and had the correct decals but that was about it.It had a carburated small block, and some 70's style side pipes. The actual car had the new Crossfire fule injection set up and no side pipes. When I started the kit I envisioned an early 80's steet machine that you might see on the the cover of Hot Rod or Car Craft etc.. A car caught somewhere between the 70's "Street Freaks" and the 80's "Pro Street" trend. The model was painted Testor's Lime Ice laquer and given a good coat of The Treatment wax. It's box stock except for the mag wheels from The Revell/Monogram 1969 GTO Judge kit.I applied Bare Metal Foil to the side pipes and rocker moldings. Thank's for looking, Sam
bigmikevee
Sam, The 'vette looks just right, color is really cool, remember sharing stoplights with cars that looked just like this, very cool build. Thanks for posting! Mike

Guest
Nice Vette! One suggestion, drill out the sidepipes, otherwise, very nice work.
