Seriously though, I'm not entirely clear on what a winch truck does myself, but I do like the model.

They are mostly used in the oilfield to set up,tear down and move the drilling rig they help load the big stuff onto flat bed trailers.

Watch the show "Ice Road Truckers" on the History Channel and you will see them in use quite a bit. They load trailers and set up the oil rigs. Some of the Ice Road trucks have the winches on the back of the trucks to help load the trailers as well.
