kennysteez Posted July 16, 2010 Posted July 16, 2010 hey i was wondering if i could get input on wut every one uses for sparkplug wires and all that jaz im haveing a hard time finding something that looks right
Railfreak78 Posted July 16, 2010 Posted July 16, 2010 I use a picture of what I am building if I am going to be detailed and then I use different sizes of floral wire ( For fake plants and flowers) for larger wires like spark plugs and battery cables. I use phone wire insulation for spark plug boots. I also use beading wire for smaller details wire.

Greg Cullinan Posted July 16, 2010 Posted July 16, 2010 ^^^^^^ The realest/nicest around in my opinion.
Bobdude Posted July 16, 2010 Posted July 16, 2010 Very pleased with the ones I purchased recently.Actual distributor caps, not wire glued into aluminum tubing.Lots of choices on the color of the wire.
crazyjim Posted July 16, 2010 Posted July 16, 2010 I'm a glue the wires into aluminum tubing or drill out the distributor from the kit. I get my wire from Rick at Scale Dreams. Rick also carries Model Car Garage wire looms that I use. It looks like Kris Morgan makes so very fine distributors - many people here love them - but I don't build big buck models so I won't pay 4 or 5 bucks for a distributor. I sometimes feel bad spending 7 to 9 bucks on Pegasus wheel/tires. I did purchase some tires from Alan Raab at Ma's Resin and they are fantastic tires. I'm waiting on some wheels from Time Machine Resin, but can't comment 'cuz they're not here yet.
Jon Cole Posted July 16, 2010 Posted July 16, 2010 You need the right tool(s) to get the job done! Buy a twist drill, and a set of jewelers (hobby) size drill bits. They are the ones that go from #60, to #80 sizes. That way you can drill for your plug wires, coolant hoses, etc. Oh, and try a Word Processor program. It's a caps & punctuation thing.
