Window channels for W/S and backglass

I'm looking for ideas on how channels are scribed/cut into the roofs for the "glass" to set into.Any special tools ?

I also would like to see some techniques. But it's not just for rooflines, it's also for the vertical part of vent windows. This is a consideration that almost everyone overlooks.
