Absolutely. And I tell you, my favorite kit of all time is the Airfix / MPC Blower Bentley. Looks to me, based on the perfection of the tooling, and the precision molding of all parts down to screws, nuts, washers, rivets, etc., that this was devised by their military specialists – all that, and this particular kit isn't that difficult to build. We have a lot to learn from the military modelers, and they know about aftermarket details that car modelers haven't begun to explore. For those who practice weathering, you need to follow military modeling sites.
