Thanks guys. It's just another one of those colors I was playin around with on spoons that came out nice. This was, however, the second try because the first time I thinned the purple too much and it looked like junk.

WOW!!

Your Monte Carlo looks razor sharp! The colour combination is perfect.

Mt parents once owned a 1972 HQ Holden Premier in that colour combo and that car was the pride of the fleet for years and years

The metallic purple was called 'chateau mauve', I wonder what the purple is called on your Monte?

Well done, it looks fantastic.

James.

Very cool my friend, a little constructive criticism though, try misting your paint between coats, this will give you more tooth for the next coats to follow. If you look at all the edges and door panel lines, the paint seems to be getting away from these, you might be dumping too much paint at one time. Other than that, as I said, very cool!!! ;)

This is the only time I've ever had that problem, and I think it's bacause the blue I used under the purple is acrylic. I had stripped it once already cuz I thinned the purple too much, this time around I didn't really want to go through all the prep again, so I just said it was good enough.
