I just finished this one... in a day! Well, I actually painted everything the other day. It's the Revell California Dune Buggy kit I picked up at a swap meet. The wheels were ugly, so I shot some Alclad on some parts box slots and the headlights were missing so I used a set from a '32 Ford. Since it couldn't be built box stock, I went ahead and wired the engine. The paint is Purple Flake with Dupont clear. It was a fun little quick build! Comment welcome!

That purple flake is a perfect fit for this model - great paint job! Is that a rear taillight that is purple or just part of the body styling? The engine wiring looks good too - good choice in corresponding with the purple wiring.

Cool buggy!cool.gif I Love Dune Buggys!smile.gif

Wish they made a clear with the multi color flake in it so a person could make it look like a production body color!

We used to make the bodies for our buggies on site! The shop owner had fibreboard barrels full of the different color flakes!(large flake) I used it to paint a 65 Impala I had at the time that was Midnight blue shot over with the multi color flake in the clear!

The paint is what sold the car as it was a Grandma Impala two barrel 283 with a powerglide trans.laugh.gif
