codie27 Posted August 6, 2010 Posted August 6, 2010 This one was built out of boredom,to try out some new ideas and to use some KW and other parts I had. The cab was built around the doors which were cut out from the revell w900 snap kit. It is the first time I have made a cab with opening toolboxes. I made my own hinges for the doors which are nice and neat and open better than other ones I have made before.I used the engine from the revell firetruck and the chassis I think is from the White Freightliner and converted to RH drive. The front and rear bumpers are hand made and the tail lights are plastic cut out from the sides of a cd case and painted with tamiya clear red and orange. The cab glass is also cut from a cd case and shaped to fit, makes for a realistic look I think. The interior is mostly from the parts box but the dash is scratchbuilt and uses instruments from a KW kit. Not a very accurate model but I had fun building it and had to have a k100 in my collection, and couldnt find a kit. Follow My link and take a look.
