first off HELLO!!!!!! i am another newbie to this great site. i an starting to build a richard petty dodge charger. where shoild the fuel line run on the car? should they be on the bottom/ underside of the chassis, or thru the interior like modern cars? sorry for the dumb question but i could not find the answer anywhere.. the instuctions for the 1/16 kit show the line coming from the cell and going over to a mounting point on the frame ans stops. then at the front of the car shows a mounting point for the hose on the frame and then it goes to the motor. thanks in advance for the info!!!!!

First off fuel lines never go through the interior of any car street or race for safety purposes. Your kit is correct. The fuel line comes from the cell and runs through the frame to protect it from anything that might come under the car, or a broken drive shaft whipping around, etc. etc. etc.

It comes out of the frame to the fuel pump on the right front of the engine and goes from the pump to a larger canister type filter and then to the carb.

I have pics of the real car too if you need reference pics.

thanks, i did know that the modern year models ran inside thru the interior. there were many post on other model forums about the modern day cars. it was mandated by nascar to run them thru steel tubing, and later on they mandated the tubing to be painted red and have an identification sticker marking it as a fuel line. but have not found anything on the old stuff. maybe i need to register oer on randy ayers site and see what they say. they sure know there nascar stuff.
