hookedonplastics Posted February 10, 2007 Posted February 10, 2007 I just recently acquired a smaller scale pinto funny car in a mess of model parts purchased on e-bay. It is a Monogram snap together with 'silver' plastic frame and yellow body. One of the slick halves is missing. There are no decals on the body. I would like to restore this but I am unsure of the scale. Does this ring a bell with anybody? Any suggestions as to where to look?
JOHN_BISCI Posted February 11, 2007 Posted February 11, 2007 I could be wrong, but would this be Monogram's "Poison Pinto?" Have you tried searches on Ebay?
hookedonplastics Posted February 11, 2007 Author Posted February 11, 2007 I dont know if it is the Poison Pinto or not. There are no decals. So far, e-bay has turned up nothing. I was thinking of using the art-deco horse decal from the Revell '70 Boss 429 and then just masking my own paint scheme, but I would really like the fake grille and headlight decals that adorn funny cars and I would still need some 1/32 scale slicks. Thanks for your ideas!
