caine440 Posted August 14, 2010 Posted August 14, 2010 (edited) Hello All. Tried some different ways to take outdoor photos. Still have to place the motor and fuel lines along with tons of other details, but it is getting closer. Found a set of decals on evilbay but they are not the right year. They may have to do if my decal source falls through. End of story here are the photos. Thanks for Looking! Edited August 21, 2010 by caine440
DRG Posted August 14, 2010 Posted August 14, 2010 Do you guys ever make any mistakes on your builds?? Looking great.
High octane Posted August 14, 2010 Posted August 14, 2010 Lookin' real good so far Roger, where did you get those headers?
mopar01lee Posted August 14, 2010 Posted August 14, 2010 Dude that is one sick fish. I remember seein a pic of that car in an old mopar mag awsome can't wait to see this fish done.
Modellpularn Posted August 14, 2010 Posted August 14, 2010 Cool car to make a model of. I would remove the scoop base, and fill the hood with styrene, so those injector stacks are fully visible. Like on the real thing. Why almost hide those cool injection tubes? It will be some more work, but worth it in the end, trust me. I've always thought these things are manly....cool, whatever you want to call it.
caine440 Posted August 14, 2010 Author Posted August 14, 2010 Thanks everyone. I think Dave is right about the headers. They were in the parts box and I did have a Pro Stock Olds that I used for parts for a Volare Pro Stock. I have another hood I am working on just like you said. Filled in and flat. Body work is not my strong point so this hood is the back up plan if the other one fails horribly. Thanks again!
caine440 Posted August 21, 2010 Author Posted August 21, 2010 I changed the hood and did some detailing and lost some parts to the carpet monster! Still going to change out the one goofy looking stack.
jjsipes Posted August 22, 2010 Posted August 22, 2010 Get the latest issue of Mopar Collectors Guide. It has a write-up on the car. It has some great reference pics as well.
caine440 Posted August 23, 2010 Author Posted August 23, 2010 Ha! Just my luck! I looked all over trying to find good photos of the 70 and 71 Cudas and found very little until now when the car is almost done. Oh well.
