lrlocke01 Posted August 18, 2010 Posted August 18, 2010 (edited) I was wondering if this kit is the same used for the Sox & Martin GTX. It comes with slicks and optional drag parts, is there anything I would need to add to it to make the S&M GTX besides decals? Maybe some of you can post pics of these that you may have built. Any help as always is greatly appreciated. Edited August 18, 2010 by lrlocke01
oldscool Posted August 18, 2010 Posted August 18, 2010 It's the same kit except for the wheels. Th S&M kit has Keystone classics like the real car and the 2n1 kit has what looks similar to Cragar S/S wheels. Watch the bodies in these kits as every one I have seen has a caved in top. oldscool
lrlocke01 Posted August 18, 2010 Author Posted August 18, 2010 Thanks guys, that's what I need to know. I will be using the Slixx decals definately, and luckily I also have some extra Thunderbolt wheels. Thanks again.
kylexgore Posted August 18, 2010 Posted August 18, 2010 ebay has a accurate resin set of the keystone klassics if you want pay 5.50 for them. heres a link if youre interested in them. http://cgi.ebay.com/Resin-15-Keystone-Klassic-Kustomag-Wheels-/320509625857?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0
oldscool Posted August 19, 2010 Posted August 19, 2010 (edited) Sorry Davezinn but my kit definetly does not have Keystone Classics in it. It is the boxing with the ugly yellow and black car on it. oldscool Edited August 19, 2010 by oldscool
Terry Sumner Posted August 19, 2010 Posted August 19, 2010 I don't know if this will help you much or not, but here's a link to a review I did of a build of that model... http://www.internetmodeler.com/2002/october/automotive/gtx.htm This was the boxing with the one that oldschool mentioned.
