Jim B Posted September 2, 2010 Posted September 2, 2010 Lotso Fotki Nice work, Ben. Those wheels are very realistic. Man! Does that Peterbilt 350 have a long hood!
Ben Posted September 2, 2010 Author Posted September 2, 2010 Lotso Fotki Nice work, Ben. Those wheels are very realistic. Man! Does that Peterbilt 350 have a long hood! Thanks Jim! On the real Western Dist. Pete, they extended the hood and the cowl 18" so I did the same on mine.
Jim B Posted September 2, 2010 Posted September 2, 2010 Are you going to have Jamie cast some of those for you (or should I say us)? Not to be a pain in the "you know where", but how are those Ford W9000 cab & Ford LTL hood coming? They look really nice. I'm planning on doing a Snowman Kenworth W900 here eventually. I think I'll need you on "speed dial"!
Ben Posted September 2, 2010 Author Posted September 2, 2010 Do you mean, am I going to have the cab, hood and sleeper on this Western Dist. truck ,cast? I really want to but i'm not sure if Eric would be interested? I don't think Jamie is interested though as I mentioned it earlier today and he didn't say much? All I can tell you on the Fords is that will be cast eventually! Trust me, I want copies too but i'm still trying to get things for each one to make them as complete as possible.
Jim B Posted September 3, 2010 Posted September 3, 2010 I was talking about the wheels when I mentioned Jamie casting them.
Ben Posted September 3, 2010 Author Posted September 3, 2010 Yeah, Jamie has been casting my wheels for a couple years now. He has molded and cast every one i've made so far.
Mr mopar Posted September 3, 2010 Posted September 3, 2010 I want that Peterbilt 110 inch cabover! That looks real good Ben.
Old Albion Posted September 3, 2010 Posted September 3, 2010 (edited) Ben, I just had a look through your albums. Very very impressive indeed!! Those wheels look great. Where do we buy them from Jamie or somewhere else? Those photo's of the 1693 will be very usefull. Many Thanks for posting them. Dave Edited September 3, 2010 by Old Albion
Ben Posted September 3, 2010 Author Posted September 3, 2010 Hey Dave, thanks! You can buy those wheels from Jamie directly or through Sourkraut's website. Jamies email is jlrahmo@aol.com As for the Pete 352 cabs, they will be available through P&P Resins (Porky) very soon.
codie27 Posted September 3, 2010 Posted September 3, 2010 Hey Ben,I took a look at your pics. There is some very cool stuff in there. Is the Ford W9000 a scratchbuilt model? Some very nice work going into that one.I always liked those after seeing the Blue Mule in White Line Fever, the scene where it jumps through the sign has stuck in my head ever since.
