DRG Posted September 4, 2010 Posted September 4, 2010 I have sitting on my workbench two different projects. 1- A 1962 Pontiac 421 SD 2- A 1968 Plymouth Roadrunner. I got up at seven A.M. this morning, I have drank a pot of coffee and been on this stupid cumputer for three and a half hours. Work on projects- zero. There must be a 12 Step Program Somewhere.
mredzadventure Posted September 4, 2010 Posted September 4, 2010 (edited) I hear ya I am working on a Man Cave so I will have room to do my projects I should have had it done by now. I keep falling into threads here and other boards too. I can loose a few hours on the thing as well. Edited September 4, 2010 by mredzadventure

highway Posted September 4, 2010 Posted September 4, 2010 This forum can get addicting, can't it Don? I've got 8 projects for 5 different community builds and three of the CBP's I've entered two projects in, and I spend more time on the forum than working. Of course, with the community builds, I have a due date to finish them by, so I have to work on them sometime, and here's my 12 step program when I do sit at the model desk. 1. Get the kit off the shelf and open it. 2. Turn on the laptop on the model desk. 3. While the laptop is starting up, I get the instructions out of the kit and figure out either which step I'm on or which one I'm going to work on, engine, interior, etc. 4. Check my email notifications from the forum. 5. Go to the forum and check my watched threads and the new content. 6. After I'm finished with my new stuff, I'll get the glue and parts out and either glue sub assembies like engines or seat halves, anything that will be the same color, together and prepare them for paint. 7. Check forum. 8. Paint parts. 9. While the paint is drying, yep, you guessed it, back to the forum. 10. Glue the parts I painted where they need to go. 11. Put the model back in the box and on the shelf again. 12. Check the forum again one last time before I shut off the laptop. That's my 12 step program, whether it helps or hurts, I don't know! Sometimes there is even a 13th step, go back to the main computer and, you guessed it again, BACK TO THE FORUM!!!!!!

Agent G Posted September 5, 2010 Posted September 5, 2010 About an hour after posting here, a nut walked into a casino saying he had a bomb. After responding to that, we took a trip over to Jean Nevada and made two arrests. 12 hour day right there. Serves me right G
The Modeling Hermit Posted September 6, 2010 Posted September 6, 2010 I've got a suggestion for all of those with this forum addiction. I'll contact your wives and suggest to them that if you don't get back in your model rooms and get busy, that they go in and paint your model rooms hot pink.

Since my model room is half of my living room, my better half would have to paint the whole living room!!!
