I am looking for the best 454 for a Vette project. The only one I know is the 70 AMT Baldwin kit. Has anyone check the deck height on thi vs the 427 that is in the Revell 67 Vette?

I checked the factory specs for deck height an they are both 9.8" so that would mean externally they should be identical.

What about the L-88 engine from the '68 Vette by Revell? The '69 Yenko Camaro?

I think any big block will do fine, it probably comes down to which one has the best accessories you are trying to replicate.

Yes they all look the same, but some of the Revell kits' valve covers are wrong. It's the '68-'69 Corvette kits, they have 8 bolts.... On the real engine, you have 7 bolts around the valve cover. And the side with 4 bolts ALWAYS faces the exhaust side.
