You could try Super Clean. I comes in a big purple jug, and you can get it a NAPA, AutoZone, etc. Works like a charm.

jim is right, the super clean does a fantastic job of removing paint and primer, it will also remove any putty work youve and chrome, but wont hurt the plastic or clear.

use Super Clean all the time, works great. IF the paint is fresh like that it should not take long if the glue is fresh it should be OK as well. In fact I just took a cab out of the cleaner(oven cleaner) it had been in there a year now and the glue is OK.then soaked in the Super clean for the last 10 days, the glue is still holding out. Some times if the kits are lets say 10 years old some time the glue will break down.

Try Dupli Color Auto paint.I been using that about 5 years now and like it.

Ok ill have to try that dupli color .. Im trying to find a medium shade of metallic blue and i found it in testors paint and thought Id give it a shot but the paint must have been old or just not good cuz it didnt stick it ran right off the parts i painted and thats after scrubbing them and primering them.... Thanks for the tip.

Also, you can use Purple Power. It's just Super Clean in a white jug. It's costs less and works just fine. It's what I use. Both are available at Wal Mart, NAPA, and other fine automotive parts retailers. :D

A year? Wow, that's along time to soak a cab. Luckily the cab held out, though.
