txdieseldog Posted September 24, 2010 Posted September 24, 2010 I am new to this forum and am looking for some tips. I have several models that have endured shipping and storage through a lengthy Air Force career and a new interest and some rescheduled time has given the opportunity to clean them up and repair or rebuild them. The problem I have is the fact that I live in West Central Texas and several of the models are heavy laden in dust as well as a couple have been used as very accomodating apartments for some local mud dobbers. They were in decent shape finish wise and it would be nice to not repaint them all. (If you know what I mean.) Any cleaning tips to save the finish would be greatly appreciated. Thanks. Barry

mackinac359 Posted September 25, 2010 Posted September 25, 2010 The tip on the warm soapy water, cotton balls, etc is exactly how I clean mine. Since I have open shelves, the models gather plenty of dust. Tim
