Jim B Posted February 20, 2007 Posted February 20, 2007 Ok, I've finally done something with my Revell snap Pete 359! Here are two (2) photos (a bit blury) of my Caterpillar 3406A that I detailed. I left the fuel & oil lines silver for the photos so you could see them better, but the engine will be painted gloss white, and the transmission semi-gloss black. Currently what is missing are the fuel lines to the tanks, the air lines to the wet tank, and the valve cover breather tube. So it was a lot of work for a snap together kit, but I've never detailed an engine before. Know what? It was a lotof fun, and I learned some new tricks. Cannonozed a few Italian Saints, too! What do you think? 3406A Driver's Side Detail 3406A Passenger's Side Detail
Jim B Posted February 20, 2007 Author Posted February 20, 2007 Thanks. Not bad for my first attempt engine detailing. I'm hoping to get some interior shots soon.
