junkman1153 Posted October 15, 2010 Posted October 15, 2010 the original death race 2000 . i know one was a karman ghia, and there was a corvette, and a dune buggy i think. i know some guys thinking of doing these highly modified cars as a group build they are looking for pictures to base the build on.
Roadkill2525 Posted October 15, 2010 Posted October 15, 2010 There was one Karmen Ghia and the rest were modified Beetles, my dad saw them at Ontario and said they could bearly maintain 35mph.

george 53 Posted October 15, 2010 Posted October 15, 2010 Put Stallone's jinky lipped self in it an THAT'LL STOP IT!!!
torinobradley Posted October 15, 2010 Posted October 15, 2010 You could probably build Stalones car out of the Hardcastle McCormick Coyote, though it won't have the correct vw chassis. maybe that duen buggy thing they released a few years ago might be a better candidate. I built Frankenstein's car many years ago for my sister using a Corvette. Mad the teeth out of stretched sprue and the ridge out of sheet plastic. Came out cool with airbrushed graphics. She loved it. Would be a fun build-off, to be sure.
Junkman Posted October 15, 2010 Posted October 15, 2010 It says on Wikipedia that one of them was based on a Fiat 850 Spider. That would explain why one of them was never running.
