HI

my name is Quinton. i was going through some old files and pictres i have and i came across this picture. i only have the one and i was wondering if any one here had any info on it. i dont know anything at all about it i just have to one picutre. the only thing i know is that it is a model but even then i dont know the scale. any info on this would be great.

Well I can do nothing more than tell you Welcome to the Forum. But to me it seems like the model in the picture was customized, but from what I could not tell you, but there are others here who will.

Quinton, welcome to our asylum. :lol::P What you are looking for there is the Franklin Mint 1939 Duesenberg Coupe Simone, in 1/24 scale. It is a "phantom" deco car, there is no 1:1 version, afaik. I wish I had bought it back when I was able to. Don't know if it is still in production. If you put "Duesenberg Coupe Simone" into a Google search, you will see other photos.

That's a stunning automobile, alright. I thought that this was one of those "built and lost " kinda cars. Maybe a WWII disappearance. Along with this fuzzy memory was that Franklin Mint recreated the car in scale from found plans. I could be remembering something completely different but what a barnfind this would be, if it exists.
