The other problem with it is the high beltline. Makes it feel like you're sitting in a tall bathtub with only a mail slot to see out of.

Yeah- the high beltline and resulting 'turret top' don't help.

I think that's tapered off- the local Chevy dealer has had the same two Camaros on the lot all summer collecting dust. Same story at the more distant dealerships. Heck, the nearest can't even sell the cool green one that's had crowds around it up until the last few weeks!

Around here I still see camaro's selling and new ones coming in. But the synergy green camaro's aren't selling as much now, because 2011 that color is avalible on all models, instead of 2010 with it only avalible on the v6 lt's.

But it's just like any other fad or new product that everybody must have, once the majority of people have one, sales slow down alot.

But don't get me wrong, if I had cash to blow, I would buy a camaro before a mustang anytime, but that's just me.

I don't think it's the front and back they screwed up- the car (to me) is too wide for its length, or too short for its width, and as a result it just looks 'squatty' to me. I doubt history will remember it as a beautiful design like the first gen. (And for the record, I'm one of the eleven people on Earth who don't like the first-gen Camaros. )

I didn't like the 1st Gen either. 69 and 71-72 are the ones I like! 1969 is my alltime favorite though!

Johnny, you do relize a 69 is a 1st generation car, right? The second generation cars started with the 70 1/2 model year.

Yea,h but with the big change in sheet metal I never concidered it a 1st gen. It was like the ugly step child to the original Camaro lovers! I can still remember them all crying that Chevrolet had ruined the Camaro when the 69 was introduced!

The 69 RS SS was in my opinion the most beautiful Camaro built next to the 68 Z28!:P

I can't believe anyone would consider the 69 the ugly one! I always thought that Chevy never got it right until the 69 came out!
