I'm not sure about the masking tape but I used sports tape & sprayed it with a acrylic tan. I googled muffler wraps & the color came out pretty close to the 1:1 that was being advertised.

Don't use it!!! It will make the headers rust out faster!!!

Durapore medical tape by 3M is the best fix for this.

The weave is tighter than the sports tape.

You can get it at any drug store.

i like urs alot better than mine we just have never had sports tape but thank u for the tip
