Greg Myers Posted October 25, 2010 Posted October 25, 2010 (edited) I was just thinking about how lucky we are to have several Major model car manufactures and how many others? Galaxie, Moebius, lindberg andHow about R/M bringing back some Renwal? Title should say Round 2 instead of the old name rc2 Edited October 26, 2010 by Greg Myers

Harry P. Posted October 25, 2010 Posted October 25, 2010 Japan has roughly 1/3 the population of the US. Imai, Tamiya, Hasegawa, Aoshima, Bandai, Fujimi, Gunze Sangyo, etc. Who's the lucky one now?

CAL Posted October 25, 2010 Posted October 25, 2010 So what is it YOU know that you aren't sharing ? Election year. most experts are saying it will be rough going till 2013.
sjordan2 Posted October 25, 2010 Posted October 25, 2010 Gotta say, though, that Revell is making some bold moves with their upcoming line-up, especially the 1/12 Mustang GT. That will look great next to their 60s fastback. I think it's a big gamble for them to issue something new in this scale, and I pray that it works so we get more large-scale toolings (and not just muscle cars).
highway Posted October 25, 2010 Posted October 25, 2010 The great thing is that a company like Moebius will take a chance on the Hudson which the "bigger" guys passed on for the better part of 60 years! It's also nice they are giving us truck builders something at least this truck modeler has wanted for a long time, a MODERN truck! I know many of us truck builders are awaiting the release of the Moebius International Lonestar kit.
Darren B Posted October 25, 2010 Posted October 25, 2010 (edited) Election year. most experts are saying it will be rough going till 2013. yeah no doubt. The media trying to say recession over in july 09. Ain't that a load of garbage? I kinda believe them that it will be rough thru 2013! and im not trying to start anything negative or political for the record! Edited October 25, 2010 by Darren B
Tijuanataxi Posted October 25, 2010 Posted October 25, 2010 Well, all of you americans are the lucky ones. I honestly dont believe that we have ONE single hobbyshop in Denmark, where we can take a look at the new car models. We have very few modelshops, and most (of the very few) model builders we have, builts war models. Tanks, planes, whatever, as long as it is connected with some war... Man I wish I could step into a modelshop, and browse all the new us car model kits...

Modelmartin Posted October 25, 2010 Posted October 25, 2010 You just did... He certainly did, didn't he? Can we all pile on, now?? Huh? Huh? Please, Harry!

Brett Barrow Posted October 25, 2010 Posted October 25, 2010 It's not RC2 anymore. It was RC2 that ran AMT into the ground. RC2 was formed from the merger of Racing Champions and Learning Curve. The new company, headed by Tom Lowe, is "Round 2" Other than having an R and the number 2 in its name, it has nothing to do with RC2.
Darin Bastedo Posted October 26, 2010 Posted October 26, 2010 You're absolutely right. I was quite lazy there...In my post substitute "RC2" with "Round 2" and my apologies to the new guys. Intended or not, comparing how they are stewarding the brands to the RC2 days is an insult. The names are very similar. Perhaps Round 2 should have named them selves "under new management" or "Not RC2"
