So i have been always trying to challenge my skills but now i think i found my MT. Everest. I have been planning to build a scale train layout (a small one) and haven't been able to find a scale small enough to fit my expectations. Eather its too big or i just get crazy ideas of HUGE layouts. But after doing some searching on EVILbay i found the right size and scale. I found a scale smaller then N scale which is Z scale. if you would compare it to a 1:24th scale model the train cars and locomotive would be as big as a engine block. But now i need to plan my layout and decide if i want to modify a brief case or if i want to modify a luggage box. This topic serves for two reasons: 1: if someone could help me plan a layout (im kinda thinking WW2 era germany) 2: to see if anyone else out there has tried this before and would like to post pics of their work.

Z scale is roughly 1/2 of N scale, Marklin is very popular in Germany. The first time I saw them was a layout in a small briefcase- amazing.
