I came up with the idea for this build several years ago and like many builds it fell to the wayside while other projects made it on and off the bench.

Just a couple of months ago I decided that I better get the ideas I had for this build under way. About 40 hours of work went into this build and it turned out rather good.

I started out with Revell/Monogram's '31 Ford Woody kit. I chopped the roof and modified the chassis and suspension.

The Ford V-8 mill fits nicely... Always good to have a few Mustang kits around for donor motors! Used parts-bin chrome mags and tires. There were a couple of options for rims and rubber, including white walls and steelies, but in the end what you see fit best. More of a hotrod look rather than ratrod, but I'll save that idea for another project.

The casket was made from sheet styrene, using a pattern found online and re-sized. Just printed it out, cut it up and used as a cut sheet.

Almost finished! Besides Testors spraypaints, I find that ColorPlace spraypaint (found at Wal-mart and super cheap) works just as well. Everything hand-painted is Testors paints.
