Mike Posted March 2, 2007 Posted March 2, 2007 Here's my most recently completed build. I experimented with some nail polish I found at Wal Mart for the "flop" finish. It changes from green/gold/purple. Sorry for the picture quality. I don't have a "real" place I can set up for photography yet. LOL
Steve H. Posted March 2, 2007 Posted March 2, 2007 Looks good! Nice color choice, works well with that body. I want to start mine soon, just have to finish my 32 WIP. I see the doors really don't close completely, which is what I expected.

I see the doors really don't close completely, which is what I expected. Actually it's a combination of things. The doors do fit pretty well all things considered. If the plastic's warped a bit that'll cause it. The biggest cause of the door gap is how tight the screw inside the body is that holds the hinge mechanism/door in place. If you tighten it too much, the door kicks out to the side quite a bit. The biggest problem with the passenger side door on mine, is that there are different sized screws in the package they send with the kit. I put a longer one in the spot, and accidentally sprung the post where it mounts inside by 80%. Needless to say, it's staying closed now. Just a heads up.
