hey guys. im building a 1971 plymouth gtx by revell. i have hit a major road block. i know being a mopar man that the motor on the 440 is mopar blue and that the hemi is orange. has anyone made this model and what color did you make it. i know im not making it orange but is the blue look good .

The '69-'71 High Performance 440 in the GTX was painted Street Hemi Orange from the factory in the 1:1

Personal favorite factory colors for the '71 include In-Violet (purple), Sassy-Grass Green, Bahama Yellow (Butterscotch)

Thank you Chris, 1971 still bore the 440 in Street Hemi Orange, and the 400s got the Chrysler Engine Turqouise color (both colors still available from Ma' Mopar by the way). Hemis (last production year for them and the 440+6) still wore their Street Hemi Orange coloration.
