Darren B Posted November 29, 2010 Posted November 29, 2010 I may have had this one in the wrong topic. I have seen it done, not sure what forum, but have seen it done before, using temp tattos. I am currently trying some from www.ssmvending.com, out of a vending machine, my question is has anyone try it here on this forum and have any luck with them laying done smooth? I thought of using flat paint as it is close to skin, then clear coating. I have done that with one coat clear, looks like it may take several coats to get it smooth. Is there any particular brand that is better than another brand?
brett Posted November 29, 2010 Posted November 29, 2010 I just used some dollar shop ones on this a few years ago I've had decals lay down a lot worse. leave to dry a few days before attempting to clear and even then only with mist coats at first. Probably better off using a gloss paint under as a flat underneath will probably lead to the clear bits of the tattoo silvering after a while.
Jantrix Posted November 29, 2010 Posted November 29, 2010 Tried one a few years ago. The darn thing stayed sticky for weeks. And it wrinkled when I cleared. Some have had better luck. It might be hit-or-miss due to quality of the tattoo decal?

That dragon is awesome, thank you for the advice i will for sure give the gloss a try and let it dry longer, i tested the clear gloss over mine sample only about 20 mins of applying it so ill see what happens. Thank you for your quick reply, it may be the quality of the tattoo as well, im thinking of trying another brand of temp tattoos...
