checked google,ebay and online shops...zilch

Michiael, are you refering to the old A M T wire axles ? If thats the case, simply buy 1/16 inch piano wire . If you can't find it , P-M an address as I can still buy it locally. Ed Shaver

Just metal axles in general,1/24...1/25...

Like Ed says... piano wire. Any well-stocked hobby shop will have it. Brass rod will also work.

Steel welding rod from the local hardware or farm store works well, too.

The heck with metal axles - use Evergreen rod instead.
