gasman Posted March 8, 2007 Posted March 8, 2007 does anyone out there produce any resin body's that will fit the Barris T Buggy chassis, I got this kit for free a few months ago and I will like to build a Dune Buggy from it, the Barris look is a little too out there for me
kod38 Posted March 9, 2007 Posted March 9, 2007 Probably not? Unless it has a seperate pan like the AMT manx kit. You could probably modify it with styrene sheet around the front end and make it with no top. It kinda looks manx like without some of the goofy body parts. Good Luck. Doug R
gowjobs Posted March 9, 2007 Posted March 9, 2007 I re-shaped the fenders, nose and hood a little on mine to give it a softer, more Roth-like feel. Not pictured here is the "grille" opening at the bottom of the hood (also not pictured, sorry) that was made from the rear of a Beatnik Bandit II. The Barris T-Buggy isn't much of an off-road chassis - the front is based on a '60s-era dragster suspension. It'd make a decent sand dragster or street buggy, though.
Modelmartin Posted March 9, 2007 Posted March 9, 2007 Jimmy Flintstone puts out a resin copy of the AMT Meyers Manx body which could be adapted to the Barris chassis. Look on Ebay.
