Hi All,

Fairly new to the hobby!! I have a 69 Camaro kit that has raised delcas modlded onto the body. These are almost impossible to foil and was thinking of just sanding them off. Where can I get some decals for my 69 camaro body??

Welcome Tony!

When you say "raised decals molded onto the body", are you referring to the scripts, emblems, etc.?

If so, another option would be to get a photoetch kit like this one from Model Car Garage.

With this, you would first do as you mention to remove the emblems. Then attach the photoetch pieces after you've completed the paint work. They are metal and have "depth", but require some type of adhesive to attach to the body.

Hope this helps. :)

Another option is to prime, then foil. Cut them as close as possible, then do your color coat. Once the paint cures you can carefully sand so the foil shows through on the raised areas.
