But like a lot of proud older concerns with a rich history they were purchased by a larger vulgar corporation. Remember the Mustang II 'Ghia'? A sad fate for the designers who brought us all of those beautiful Chrysler show cars and the Karmann-Ghia, a few great Pegaso coupes, and many others. :cry:

This comparison ( or choice ) is unfair to either car. We are deciding between apples and oranges. The choice should be made between two manufactured cars or two concept cars. The cost difference between the Buick and the DeSoto is astronomical. Give me an unrestrained budget, one years time, and compare my effort to a Citroen 2-CV.

Yeah, i kinda thought so myself, but by now i really needed to bring in

something that would breach that Buick, i mean DAMNED, it has 3 wins in

a row!

I like the ghia, but I would NOT want to carry the fitted luggage that came with the car. The two suitcases were HUGE and this was before the era of pop out wheels.
