slant6 Posted January 16, 2011 Posted January 16, 2011 Ive had a project planned for quite a while and Im starting to look for the parts. My wife is a huge I Love Lucy fan and I would like to build this scene from the TV show. From what I can find, this car is a 1955 Pontiac Star Chief convertible. Does anyone know, where I can find a model of it, or something that will pass for one.

That Johan site is where I sent for a 59 Rambler Wagon and some Rebel Machine decals a few years back but just after sending a M/O the site dissappeard and I never heard from them nor got what I ordered. Later on the site was back looking just like it does now with a link to the above listed.

Hm.. there was a bit of that going around with JoHan - I sent them well over $150.00 for a batch of models some time ago and never got nothing for my money except disapointment. Never again with that name.. just my opinion based on my experience with them.

samdiego Posted January 17, 2011 Posted January 17, 2011 They used to spray the vehicles with milk to keep the glares and flares down. Same reason they removed the glass.

I am planning on building it as a diorama, and was also considering making it black and white, so that it looked just like the TV show. Thanks, Ill take a look at all those links when I get home from work and have a little time to browse.
