Guest JamesDE Posted January 17, 2011 Posted January 17, 2011 Started this right before Christmas and finished it up on Friday night. Features include a tuck n roll seat that I made from half round, sunken bullet taillights that I made from clear red parts sprue, did a mild lowering job with a 2 link bag setup in the rear, and the front suspension from the 66 Chevelle wagon was used. Flat black paint and foiled. Hand painted bed floor and trim.
jeffs396 Posted January 18, 2011 Posted January 18, 2011 Nice build of one of my favorite era of GM trucks!
Dr. Cranky Posted January 18, 2011 Posted January 18, 2011 Love the paint, and the look of the model. Great job. This is one of those kits that's dear to my hear. You've done justice to it. Congrats.
moparmagiclives Posted January 18, 2011 Posted January 18, 2011 I like the seat, great job. How did you get the fiol to stick to the flat paint? Ive had lots of problems with that. Maybe its just me.
John Teresi Posted January 19, 2011 Posted January 19, 2011 James......this is cool man......I have a lot of flat black builds also.......turned out great.

Thanks fellas for the comments.... I gave up on using BMF a while back because the last couple sheets were either too sticky to work with , or not sticky enough.. I used cheap, thin aluminum foil and microscale bare metal adhesive that you brush onto the dull side of the foil and let it dry up enough to where it gets real tacky and then burnish it like you would BMF and then trim it.... Works well for me and Ive used it on the last four finished builds I have done..
